The lights on my bike don’t work, what should I do?
Some feedback from Adam, our bike mechanic:
Most bikes have magnetic powered lights and the best way to test if they are working is to spin each wheel separately and inspect whether the light works (it can sometimes take almost 5 or 6 revolutions of the wheel before the light activates).
Sometimes the black magnet on the wheel spokes have slid too far up or down the wheel. If this has occurred, you can gently slide the magnet so that it is aligned with the light. Again, spin the wheel and test whether it works.
If the lights on the bike still do not work, you should submit a ticket so that we can repair the fault as early as possible. If you are trying to use the bike during hours of darkness, it is best advised to submit a ticket and choose a different Cykl bike with working front and rear lights. You will receive a full refund of the ride with broken lights.
